I don't know about you, but I am ready for spring! I'd love to get to my garden and fluff it up!!! What a long winter! This winter we have had the most snow since we moved here, almost 7 years ago. It's been cold, snowy, rainy, icy, then snowy again! But the sun is out today and all is pretty. Didn't God make a beautiful place for us to live? The whole earth is so beautiful and there is so much to see and appreciate! We just got back from a visit with our friends on Whidbey Island, Washington. You have to take the ferry to get there, so here are some pictures! Whidbey Island looks alot like Vermont, except that they have the green trees all year long, and not as many orange ones!

I took this picture from our truck of Mt. Hood in Oregon on our way there.

As one ferry is going west, another is going east!

Getting ready to unload in Clinton.

And below is a photo of a vintage kitchen gadget that we don't know what it is! Anybody out there in bloggerland, have an idea?

Fran's unique gadget! It comes apart and all the parts are numbered with UH 1 or UH 2 or UH3.

All the parts come off; and something would have to be pretty thin to go through the rollers!

Well, better go now; get dinner going! You all have a wonderful week! And a wonderful Valentine's Day! (At the rate I'm going, it will probably be Valentines Day before I get to another posting!)

xoxo

I LOVE Whidbey Island! And your photo of my favorite mountain made me smile this early morning. Don't have a clue what that kitchen gadget is!

I've consulted my friend, Debbie, who knows about such gadgets. I hope she responds to your post.

Debbie doesn't know what the gadget is, now I've asked my ever knowing librarian friends. Perhaps I'll ask my 90+ year old friends...

I don't know what your thingamabob is either..but it does remind me a lot of an old cigarette roller..
My grandfather had one..but it was flatter..sat on a table.
Interesting...
I'm not 90, but 74 is up there. :)
