GIVEAWAY WINNER!

AND THE WINNER IS:
Cathy from ""The Stylish Home", congratulations Cathy!

Thank you to all 19 entries, this was fun and I definately appreciate your interest in my blog and the Giveaway. I have met some new bloggers, and love my "ole blogging buddies" too. I will be catching up with all of you to see what's new every week. You all said some very nice and special things about my blog and I really am grateful for our "blogging community"!

I just finished reading all the books by Mary Kay Andrews. One of our bloggers suggested these books (but I'm sorry, I don't remember who, getting old I guess!) What I think is so fun about her books is that they are really fun! Three of the books are about two specific women in the South and their adventures, who are junkers like us. These three should be read in order; Savannah Blues, Savannah Breeze and Blue Christmas. Lots of fun!

The others are great fun too. I especially enjoyed "Deep Dish" about a woman who is a TV Chef that has a "cook off" with another hunk of a TV chef, all of the stories have a happy ending - which I loved too! Some of the books are on CD's, so you can listen to them while you are doing your projects! OR while driving to those yard sales!
Speaking of TV Chefs, don't you just LOVE Bobby Flay! What a cutie-pie!

And Thank You, Mary Kay Andrews for some great reading!

Well, better go, y'all have a great week!

I'm sorry, I forgot to answer your question, I don't know why they get yellow on the edges, some of mine have that, I know of a forum on AV, I'll find out if I can and let you know.

Hi Marilyn, I'm so glad you visited me, because it led me to your wonderful blog! Your lamps and shades are so pretty. I read your first entry on how you got started in making them. You do beautiful work - obviously a labor of love!

So interesting, too, that your husband makes 1/8 scale model trains. We are a family of railfans here, of both the real life big ones and models. Our 17-year-old son still plays with trains (has a permanent O gauge Lionel layout in his room)! And our daughter loves the old cars of the 1950s. We don't have one, but love to go to car shows and see them. Such fun hobbies!

Anyway, great to meet you - I'll be back!!
