I'm taking a few days off!

I am having some friends come here for about ten days, while our husbands go to their annual fishing trip. So I will not be blogging for a short time. But I couldn't just let you hang, no I haven't finished the table and chairs yet: the weather has been too cold to continue stripping and painting...However that did not stop me from yard-saleing! Oh no! My sister and I went over to the coast (with our husbands) to the annual 100 Mile yard sale from Lincoln City to Newport, Oregon. Check out the picture I took of the goodies I got! Two needlepoint canvases, for a chair or foot stool; three teacups and saucers from Italy; some free magazines; vintage embroidery; a floral scarf; two vintage lamps; an old ice cream maker (to make into a birdhouse); and a new hand made whirly-gig to be a gift for my daughter and her family for their new house. It's quite a bit of stuff, and I didn't spend over $30.00, (not including the gasoline, of course!) Well, I gotta go and clean the house and get ready for my guests! You all have a great weekend, and I'll see you in a bit!

You sure found some neat things. Thank you for the email. I loved hearing from you. I'd love to do the 100 Mile Yard Sale next year. Let me know when it happens. Maybe I'll meet you there!

Have a great time with your friends. Can't wait to hear all about it and see what you do with your new finds.

Great finds from the yard sale! Please take photos of the birdhouse you make out of the ice cream maker...I'm very curious to see your finished object.

Great haul,, Marilyn! I love those needlepoints, what are people thinking selling them in a garage sale after the hours it must have taken to make them and they are so pretty! Have fun with your friends, Ihope the weather warms up for you so you can finish your projects. Oh, by the way, I gave you an award today:>0 Go see!
